Oh Sh&t!! U can’t GO in There!! | 1st Amendment Audit | The J-Town Press

On 6/22/22 around 0830am, I went and did a 1st Amendment Audit of the Duval County Department of Health in downtown Jacksonville, Florida.

The 1st building went fine. I made my way into the 2nd building and came across a super energetic, over-caffeinated guard. I informed him that I was only interested in the public areas. I proceeded to film around the small building and made my way back around to the front lobby. When I hit the button for the elevator, that's when he started getting extremely excited. He followed me into the elevator and proceed to hold the door open. I have no clue, if I needed to get "buzzed up" that he was making such a huge stink. I simply would have hit the elevator button and realized I couldn't go any further and walked out. Then probably left, but nope.

In the end, a second guard showed up and the situation the first guard created fizzled out quickly, until I found a unlocked door (with no signage) that was supposed to be restricted.

If guard #1 is watching, please use this as a teachable moment to what the first amendment gives YOU and I the right to do in PUBLIC.
