Ao Soun Yai Beach - Koh Mak Thailand 2024

This beach is also very beautiful and well known for perfect sunsets and a great view of the nearby island of Koh Kham.

Along this beach are only 3 resorts and they share 3 km of this sandy beach.

It is hard to say if this beach or Ao Kao is more beautiful. This beach has a lot less development than Ao Kao so it is much more secluded but still has all of the amenities visitors look for.

The beauty of the beach varies a lot from the season of the year and the weather. The tide and wind can affect how you see the beach. At low tide you will find a lot more of the seaweed on sections of the beach. You may also have higher winds that make it less enjoyable. On of the best things about this island is that it’s small enough that if it’s windy here just cross to the far side of the island and find the right place to relax.

At this beach you find in front of the Koh Mak Resort the pier where the Panan Speedboat departs and arrives. You can travel to Koh Kham also from here for 350 Baht a person and see the amazing white sand beach on that small island.
