Is Your Pre-Shot Routine Slowing You Down?

I have come across many students who arrive to train with us for the first time. Some are new shooters and others have been training on static ranges for quite some time, but have established some bad pre-shot routines. Unlike in golf, when everyone relaxes and gets quite while you prepare to take your swing, fighting for your life in a self-defense situation will be fast paced with tons of pressure and stress.

It is important that we start developing a pre-shot routine that locks in our key points of performance for consistent accuracy in a streamline manner that takes place in the motion of presenting our firearm instead in the second or more after the weapon is raised.

If you practice this technique it will improve your speed and and set you up in a better position if you ever need to defend your life, or if your buddy challenges you to a friendly speed competition shooting targets at the range.
