SpaceX resupply mission to the International Space Station will be taking off soon, and onboard will also be an experiment created by six students from Sault Ste. Marie in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula.
In 2022 they beat out every team from the state at a competition at Lake Superior State University called, “Go For Launch.”
And now their cellular respiration yeast experiment is headed to space, where it will mimic animal cells, and the 30-day experiment will test if they can grow in microgravity.
The launch is scheduled for March 21st.
