The plan would see a new school built on the site of Aberdeen Academy, which would then be home to students of both Aberdeen and Palmer Elementary School, which are both scheduled to close in 2027. The new school would have a price tag of around 35-million-dollars and if approved, would be the first school built in the northeast portion of the district since 1965. The board is expected to vote on the plan next Monday night.
