Scottish guitar virtuoso performs Turina's Fandanguillo live in Carrion de los Condes, Spain, on 15 August, 2014, in a 'Camino concert' for pilgrims on the way to Santiago de Compostella.

Acclaimed by the press as a 'dazzlingly virtuosic' (The Herald) guitarist 'of outstanding skill and originality' (Classical Guitar) with 'an exceptional range of timbre...sublime' (BBC Music Magazine), Ian Watt first came to public attention as a 16-year-old finalist on the 2007 BBC Classical Star TV programme. In 2009, he was awarded 2nd prize at the highly prestigious Parkening International Guitar Competition in the USA, where Soundboard magazine described him as an '18 year-old phenom'. A respected teacher, he joined the guitar faculty of the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland at just 21.
