This is the moment rescuers freed a brown bear who spent TWO YEARS chained up in a filthy cage.

The female bear named Balu is believed to have been locked up in squalor since being caught in the wild as a two-month-old cub.

She was fed a diet of fizzy drinks and sweets and said to be in a "shocking physical condition".

Her dramatic rescue from the cage in Armenia was streamed live on International Animal Rescue's Facebook page where followers reacted with outrage and anger at the terrible conditions she was being kept in.
