Hungarian leader says Trump will end the war in Ukraine by not giving ‘a penny’

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán suggests that if Donald Trump were to return to power, the former US president would effectively end the war in Ukraine by cutting off funding to Kyiv.

Orbán, a longtime opponent of EU and NATO efforts to assist Ukraine, emphasizes Trump’s stance of not providing financial support for the Russo-Ukrainian conflict.

Trump recently hosted Orbán at Mar-a-Lago, with the meeting described as “social” and “friendly.”

Orbán, a key ally of Russian President Vladimir Putin in Europe, advocates for a “pro-peace” position that critics argue would reward Moscow for its aggression.

Trump, echoing an isolationist approach, pledges to end the Ukraine war within 24 hours if re-elected, aligning with Orbán’s perspective, CNN reported.
