The SBU detained the wife of an "ex-regional" who praised Putin and spied for the FSB in Vinnytsia

The Security Service detained an FSB agent who was collecting information about the Defense Forces in the Vinnytsia region and justifying the armed aggression of the Russian Federation.

The female figure turned out to be the wife of a former official of the Party of Regions, who headed the local district council until 2015.

On the instructions of the Russian special service, she tried to identify airfields with combat aircraft and helicopters of the Armed Forces, as well as to find out the presence of anti-aircraft missiles near aviation facilities.

In addition, the attacker was interested in the geolocations of medical facilities where Ukrainian defenders are treated, and scouted the routes of military echelons.

If the information was received, the aggressor planned to use it to prepare missile and drone strikes in the region.

As a result of counter-subversive measures, SBU employees promptly exposed the Russian agent, and then "step-by-step" documented her criminal activities and detained her.

Thanks to the prompt response of the Security Service, it was possible to prevent enemy attacks on strategic infrastructure in the region.

Also, during the investigation, it was established that the person involved from the anonymous account in "Odnoklasnyky" called for support for Putin and justified the invasion of Russian troops into Ukraine.

According to the investigation, it was precisely because of her anti-Ukrainian activity on the banned social network that she came into the attention of the FSB and was recruited.

During the search of the detainee's apartment, mobile phones and a tablet, which she used to communicate with the FSB, were seized.

So far, the investigators of the Security Service have notified the suspect of suspicion under five articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

The perpetrator is currently in custody. She faces life imprisonment with confiscation of property.
