50 people are injured by a ‘strong movement’ on a plane

On Monday, a Chilean plane traveling from Sydney to Auckland, New Zealand, experienced what officials described as a “strong movement,” resulting in at least 50 people sustaining injuries.

LATAM Airlines issued a statement attributing the incident to “a technical event during the flight which caused a strong movement,” without providing further details.

Upon landing in Auckland, passengers were greeted by paramedics and more than 10 emergency vehicles.

Approximately 50 individuals received on-site treatment for mostly minor injuries, while 13 were transported to a hospital, as reported by an ambulance spokesperson, the Associated Press reported.
