Russia’s new guided bomb inflicts devastation and heavy casualties on the Ukrainian front lines

Russia has initiated the deployment of a potent aerial bomb, resulting in the severe weakening of Ukrainian defenses and a significant shift in the frontline dynamics.

This has been accomplished by transforming a basic Soviet-era weapon, the FAB-1500, into a gliding bomb capable of creating a crater with a diameter of fifteen meters.

The FAB-1500, a 1.5-tonne munition with nearly half of its composition consisting of high explosives, is released from fighter jets flying at a distance of approximately 60-70 kilometers.

This range positions it beyond the reach of many Ukrainian air defenses, CNN reported.
