Why would a loving God...?

Why would a loving God give a terrifying dream to his children? You know, that's a really great question, but instead of asking or trying to prove that, well, this is possible, or that's possible, or God would never, as people, start out the conversation with a lot, just do this. Just write the dream down and seek an interpretation. And then after you find an interpretation, or after you've got some insight on the dream, then try to determine where you believe the source of the dream was. It says that all interpretations come from God. That's in scripture when talks about Joseph. So isn't it possible that you're getting a dream that may terrify you, but is actually from the Lord?
