Gas prices in Michigan are sharply higher over the past week.

Triple-A Michigan says the average price is up eleven-cents a gallon to three-dollars-56-cents, 31-cents higher than last month and a penny more than last year. Metro Detroit has the lowest price in the state at three-dollars-48-cents, and Lansing and Grand Rapids have the highest price at three-63. A 15-gallon fill up costs on average 53-dollars in Michigan.
