Stoltenberg hails 'stronger' NATO as Sweden joins

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg welcomed the Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson and Crown Princess Victoria to a flag-raising ceremony at the Alliance's headquarters in Brussels on Monday (March 11). Sweden joined NATO in Washington on Thursday (March 7) two years after Russia's invasion of Ukraine forced it to rethink its national security policy and conclude that support for the alliance was the Scandinavian nation's best guarantee of safety.
