Discover the Stalin Line, a significant historical complex located just 26 km from Minsk and 6 km from Zaslavl. Opened on June 30, 2005, to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the Soviet victory in the Great Patriotic War (WWII), it honors the soldiers who defended Minsk in 1941. This complex showcases the early days of the war, featuring a series of defensive fortifications that stretched from the Karelian Isthmus to the Black Sea, including over four thousand concrete bunkers across the USSR. Notably, the Belarusian segment comprised four fortified regions—Polotsk, Minsk, Slutsk, Mozyr—encompassing 966 pillboxes that formed a unified defense strategy. Particularly, the Minsk fortified region No 63 spanned 140 kilometers with 327 pillboxes, witnessing intense battles against the German army between June 26-28, 1941. The museum immerses visitors in the era with meticulously reconstructed trenches, machine-gun pits, and a comprehensive collection of military equipment used by the USSR army through various periods.
