Suite Bergamasque was composed around 1890. It was then revised and published in 1905. The title is derived from the city of Bergamo in the Italian Alps and serves as a tribute to French Baroque harpsichordists. It is comprised of 4 movements: Prélude, Menuet, Clair de lune, and Passepied.

Clair de lune (moonlight) is the most famous movement of the Suite Bergamasque. Its simple beauty is without rival. This would be a compelling addition to any concert program.

It is scored by Richard Byrnes for Symphonic Band: (Picc, 2Fl, 2Ob, 2Bn, Cbn, 4Cl, 2BCl, 2ASx, TSx, BiSx, 4Hn, 3Cnt, 3Trom, 2Eu, 2Tu, Cb, Bells, Hp, Celesta)

It may be purchased at sheetmusicplus.com and sheetmusicdirect.com
