Lies We Were Told About Nicotine

An infamous government propagandist one said that if you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, the public will eventually come to believe it. The lie can be maintained only for such time as the government can shield the people from the political, economic, and/or military consequences of the lie. Therefore, it becomes vitally important for the government to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the government.

Such is the case with the topic of nicotine, which for over thirty years now, we have been told is a dangerous and addictive chemical that we must avoid. But is it really? After all, if that were true, wouldn't they have nicotine warning labels on egg plant, tomatoes, bell peppers, white potatoes, and a host of other vegetables that we eat every day, all of which contain significant amounts of nicotine?
