Sleeping alone horror story

I was in bed, unable to move. My eyes were open, and I could hear everything, but my legs, hands, and the rest of my body were frozen. I tried to scream for help, but no sound came out. It felt like I was paralyzed, and time was dragging on. I attempted to move my hands to break free, but it didn't work.

Suddenly, I heard a noise from the half-open door, letting in a bit of light from the hallway. I looked towards the door and saw a dark figure, like a shadow. At first, I thought it was just a shadow, but it felt like it was watching me. I kept my eyes on it, fearing it might come closer.

The figure pushed the door open and entered my room, moving slowly toward me. It grabbed my legs and seemed ready to strangle me. Panic set in as it tightened its grip on my neck. I tried to scream, but only my mouth moved without making a sound. I couldn't move my hands or legs, and everything started going black.

Suddenly, I blurted out "Dad," and it released its hold. I regained control of my limbs and screamed for help. The figure stopped, got off me, and ran towards the door. I followed, but the hallway was empty. I felt uneasy, with goosebumps and weakness in my hands and legs. I questioned if it was just a bad dream, but it felt so real.

My parents came out, concerned and asking about the incident. I told my dad it felt real, unsure if I could sleep that night. I asked them to go to bed and went outside, sitting on a bench, trying to stay awake.
