The youngest to fight in the American Civil War. What a fascinating discovery today as I visited an 1886 Log cabin. I used this background to talk about an 11-year-old boy on the Confederates and the hero John Clem a 10-year-old drummer boy for the Union in the Battle of Shiloh in Western Tennessee
