Michigan City Renames Street ‘Palestine Avenue’

A new ‘Palestine Aveʼ street sign was unveiled Thursday in Hamtramck, Michigan, following the City Council’s December vote to rename a portion of Holbrook Avenue.Show more

The resolution approving the honorary naming states it is “intended as a gesture of solidarity, remembrance, and compassion for the lives lost in Gaza”.

The renaming will not affect official postal addresses along the street.
