My Personal Criteria for Sauce Selection

Switching up sauces is one way I break up the monotony by keeping the nutrition portion of my meals relatively unchanged from lean meats and veggies but still having a variety of taste options.

After many months of tracking and observing outcomes, as well as deciding what tastes I like with what, I’ve settled on the following 3 Criteria:

1.) Kcal per (Usually 2Tbsp) Serving
-
2.) Carbs per Serving
-
3.) Carbs to Sugar Ratio (Sweetness Index)
-
I also prefer to NOT consume High Fructose Corn Syrup whenever possible. I’m not on a witch hunt against it, it just doesn’t agree with me when I consume it as often and in the volumes I consume sauces without.

Sweet Baby Rays, for instance? Love it it just can’t be my day to day is all.
