The Purple Plague

The cubivores soon discovered that their victory was bitter. The orbivores had left behind a terrible legacy: a never-ending plague that infected the cubivores from within. The cubivores felt a burning pain as they started to rot from the inside. Their skin turned purple as the infection spread. They felt the orbivore larvae wriggling out of their flesh, eager for more. The cubivores had no escape but to eat each other, trying to survive their hopeless fate. But the more they ate, the more they spread the plague.
