It Appears DHS Told Car Rental Companies to Not Rent AWD/4X4 Vehicles Along Mexican Border

It appears the Department of Homeland Security told car rental companies to not rent 4X4s and all wheel drive vehicles to customers along the US Mexico border in at least Arizona. A woman found this out after multiple employees at Budget told her she couldn’t rent one for this very reason on a trip there. But of course after she called it out, both Budget and DHS are trying to deny this directive ever existed.Show more
