In the Belarusian capital Minsk a memorial complex consisting of 60 curbed mass graves commemorates since 1964 the up to 80,000 Soviet prisoners of war who died in Stalag 352 between July 1941 and August 1944. After severe destruction by warplanes the Wehrmacht occupied Minsk on June 28, 1941.
