Putin Flies Tu-160M Nuclear Bomber.

Russian President Vladimir Putin recently took a 30-
minute flight on a Tu-160M strategic bomber and
praised the aircraft as safe and excellent. Putin flew
on a modernised Tu-160M nuclear-capable strategic
bomber in a move likely to be seen as a pointed
reminder of Moscow's nuclear capabilities. State TV
showed Putin clambering down a ladder from the
plane after the flight and telling reporters it was a
reliable and modernised aircraft. Kremlin spokesman
Dmitry Peskov said the plane's flight path was a
military secret. The flight followed Putin's visit to the
Kazan Aviation Plant, where four upgraded Tupolev
Tu-160M strategic bombers were presented to him.
Putin said 95% of Russia's strategic nuclear forces
