Tragedy Strikes Ottawa - 6 People Found Dead

Tragedy struck a family yesterday in Barrhaven, a suburb in Ottawa, in a mass stabbing event that took the lives of six people.

A 34 year-old mother (Darshani Ekanyake), her 7 year-old son (Inuka Wickramasinghe), her three daughters (4 year-old Ashwini, 2 year-old Rinyana, and their 2.5 month-old), and a 40 year-old family friend (Amarakoonmubiayansela Ge Gemini Amarakoon).

The father (Dhanushka Wickramasinghe) was the only survivor.

A 19-year-old international student from Sri Lanka (Febrio De-Zoysa), who was staying with the family is the only suspect, and faces 7 charges. His court date is on March 13th.
