Two Ohio women, Loreen Bea Feralo, 55, and Karen Casbohm, 63, are facing charges of theft and gross abuse of a corpse, both felonies, after allegedly propping up the corpse of 80-year-old Douglas Layman in their vehicle.

Layman, with whom the women lived in Ashtabula, about 50 miles from Cleveland, had passed away.

Authorities claim that Feralo, Casbohm, and a third person removed Layman’s body from his residence and placed it in the front passenger seat of his car.

The trio then reportedly drove to a nearby bank, where the women had previously been allowed to withdraw money from Layman’s account as long as he accompanied them, The Smoking Gun reported.
