Major Distractions and False Prophecies

Due to false Prophecies, many are led to believe that certain world events are leading to Israel being restored to the favour of God and will rule the world. However, the Bible says otherwise. "Thy hous is left unto you desolate" was Jesus' declaration to the children of Israel, just before His death. The gospel went far and wide after His resurection. Anyone who accepts this gospel, will be a child of God. He reminded the disciples that His kingdom is not of this world. So what are the ramifications for accepting false prophecies concerning Christ's coming and His kingdom?
