A group of friends were sand-boarding on the dunes on February 24th, 2018 in Agnes Waters, Queensland, Australia. Everybody was having a good time and knew well what they were doing, One of the guys, laying on his board on his belly, plunged himself from the top of the dune.

Watch the video and find out what happens next.

Our guy loves sandboarding and, judging from the video, he is obviously very good at it. He assuredly slides down the dune raising not even a speck of dust. And then, out of nowhere – epic fail! What he did wrong is miscalculating the angle the sand slope forms with the beach. It is just too sharp for a person with that weight and acceleration to smoothly continue his ride into the water. Our hero plunges in the sand head first, gobbling up as much sand as possible.

Luckily the water was near so he succeeded to get inside and rinse off whatever dirt he plowed on his way down, to sooth his skin burning from the friction after the fall and the shame, if possible, form the epic fail you have just witnessed.

Sand-boarding is an extreme sport very similar to snowboarding – it replaces snow slopes with sand dunes. It can be practiced lying on the belly or the back. Fans of snowboarding can now be found all over the world, most prevalently in desert or coastal areas with beach dunes. It is less popular than snowboarding, but it is available year-round as opposed to ski resorts, which are seasonal.
