Burnt sugar waste pollutes major Bangladesh river

Liquid sugar and chemical waste continued streaming into a major Bangladeshi river on Thursday (March 7), three days after a massive fire burnt down over 100,000 metric tonnes of raw sugar in a factory in the port city of Chittagong. Environment Department official, Ferdous Anwar and environmentalist Aliur Rahman Rushai spoke to Reuters.
