PEACE News Views Ep113 with Guest Neil Magnuson

PEACE News & Views joint hosts Siir SteveO & Kim Cooper sit down with cannabis patient, entrepreneur, advocate, & Canadian hero to many- Neil Magnuson

Neil Magnuson is a long time Cannabis/rights activist from Vancouver. For the last 7 years he has been operating the CSP (Cannabis Substitution Program) in Vancouver that he founded back in 2017. The CSP provides Cannabis (primarily high dose edibles) for free to people on the does of Vancouver who are struggling with dependencies to opioids and other street drugs as it is extremely helpful in assisting people thru withdrawal. There are now several other chapters of the CSP across Canada. He will be bringing a charter challenge against the federal government in 3 weeks time due to their refusal to support the program despite its overwhelming success in helping hundreds of people escape addiction. His other credits include the "Herb School" 2004-2007, the Freedom tours 2006, 07, 08 and 2012 and being one of the main organizers of the 420 and Cannabis day protests in Vancouver for over 20 years, among other things.

Neil made an announcement recently on his podcast about his health. Recently diagnosed with esophageal cancer, Neil is dedicating his time to push his agenda to help patients with low barrier access and fight the government of British Columbia and their "Community Safety Unit"
