The callers both defend and support speaking in tongues on some level, as Hake and Crishaun are incredulous. BTW: JLP says speaking in tongues is speaking the truth that those with "ears to hear" can hear, while those without cannot understand. The light shines in the darkness, but the darkness perceives it not.
