The Iron Claw Review from The Empress and The Geek (Marriage and Movies)

The Empress and The Geek rarely agree on movies; if it doesn't have laser beams and spaceships The Geek isn't interested and The Empress likes psychological thrillers or a little bit of singing and dancing. The love of Wrestling however is one of the things we do have in common (although even then we are usually on opposite teams) so we were incredibly excited to see this movie. The Iron Claw is based on the legendary Von Erich family who took the Wrestling world by storm in the 80's and 90's but tragedy struck. Whilst this depiction leaves out some of the more hard hitting parts of the true story it still has an impact and it is not often that a wrestling movie is done well. Even if you are not a fan of wrestling you will enjoy this nostalgic look back at a family who loved and lost in the biggest way possible.
