After the discovery of severed body parts belonging to a man and a woman on Long Island last week, four individuals are now in custody as authorities continue to uncover additional remains, according to sources reported by The Post.

The arrests occurred on Tuesday following a police raid on a residence on Railroad Avenue in Amityville late Monday evening, as revealed by sources and neighbors.

Although no human remains were found at the residence, investigators uncovered more dismembered limbs concealed in Bethpage State Park and a wooded area in West Babylon, situated miles away, as stated in a Tuesday statement by the Suffolk County Police Department.

Officials suspect that these newly-discovered remains are connected to the same individuals whose body parts were initially found on February 29 in Southards Pond Park in Babylon, according to the release, the New York Post reported.
