A Bipartisan Group of Lawmakers in the House Introduced a Brand New TikTok Ban

03/05/2024 TikTok user @lisaremillard: A bipartisan group of House lawmakers who sit on the House Select Committee on the Chinese Communist Party have just released a brand new bill to ban TikTok. This bill specifically defines TikTok and its parent company ByteDance as foreign adversary controlled. If this bill gets passed, within five months of that date, ByteDance must divest or sell TikTok to a company the U.S. government determines is not a foreign-controlled adversary.
