Rope bullfighting is a popular bullfighting event dating back around 400 years on Terceira Island in the Azores. They are part of the culture of the Azorean people and are events regulated by law, with rules to be followed for the physical well-being of the animal. Thousands of tourists from all over the world come to the Island every year to see and even participate in these popular street events.
