(2/8/19) Malliotakis Discusses DOE Wasteful Spending with Chancellor Carranza
3 months ago

The state gives NYC $11 billion in education funding and we have an obligation to the taxpayer to ensure that money is being properly spent and ultimately getting to the classroom. I'm glad that new Chancellor Carranza understood my concerns about DOE's contracts with high priced consultants and vendors providing inedible school lunches, as well as expensive executive travel and that he is taking steps to address them. I will be staying on top of this issue. #FixNYCSchools
