No garden weeds using a silage tarp

I tried this last year and I liked the results so I wanted to share.

The black side of the silage tarp causes the ground to heat up. The heat and no light kills off a lot of the weeds under the tarp. So you have less weeds to deal with during the garden season.

Last year I still tilled once just to get the ground softer so it was easier to plant. I will probably do the same thing this year.
