Captain Michael Dwyer (poem)

In the hills of Wicklow, in days of old,
Stood Michael Dwyer, a rebel reckless and bold.
With passion ablaze, and pride in his stride,
For Ireland's freedom, he bravely was onside.
Photos in this presentation are from the Wicklow Goal, where Michael Dwyer spent his last days in Ireland before deportation to Australia.
Dedicated to all the Irish people who were deported to Australia in the 1700s and 1800s.
Thanks to Stephen (My Son )who took the photo of Michael Dwyer last resting place in Waverley Cemetery, Sydney .
God Save Ireland
