Lala, a King penguin, Buying own fish.
Lala, a King penguin, became an unusual pet for a Japanese family. Rescued from a fishing net and nurtured back to health by the family, Lala grew attached to them and refused to leave. The family decided to keep Lala, providing a comfortable life in their home. Lala even learned to visit the market wearing a tiny backpack to fetch fish independently, surprising villagers.
This unique situation caught the attention of journalists worldwide, leading to a documentary about Lala’s life in the small Japanese village in 1996. Although Lala has passed away, the memory of this extraordinary pet remains alive.
While Lala’s story stands out, it’s important to remember that wild animals are best suited to their natural habitats whenever possible.
