Recorded on 2/23/24. Featuring William Scoufaras. For the railfanning portion of the Boston 2024 trip, me and William ventured out to Medford/Tufts to catch the Amtrak Downeaster. Since the Lowell line isn't super packed with trains, we decided to go to Medford/Tufts to also catch some Green Line action as well. The Green Line is currently my favorite line on the MBTA system. It's a unique light rail system that operates within a subway system. These AnsaldoBreda Type 8 LRV trains sound exactly like the Kawasaki R142A/R188 subway trains back in New York. I didn't film that many train rides in this video (minus the Acela which was the main train ride video of this trip). However, this was new territory on the MBTA subway system so it was worth filming. The surprise we got was an express ride! We only made two stops between North Station and Medford-Tufts which was totally awesome! Enjoy this epic ride on the Green Line!
