Alan Dershowitz hopes SCOTUS issues narrow ruling on Trump’s presidential immunity claims

Harvard Professor Emeritus Alan Dershowitz explains why he hopes the U.S. Supreme Court writes a narrow, more nuanced decision on former President Donald Trump’s presidential immunity claims in special counsel Jack Smith’s election case. “There has to be some immunity and it has to not end at the time of the presidency, it has to continue,” says Dershowitz. “So I’m hoping the Supreme Court will write a narrow decision granting some immunity but not nearly as much as Trump asked for.”
