Retailers are cutting back on variety. Various brands are reducing the number of options for products and are instead focusing more heavily on just their bestselling goods. This shift is being touted as a response to difficulties in the market, and to a push to make life easier for people doing their shopping. But, the shift also aligns with an agenda described under the C40 program for “Reducing Consumption-based Emissions.”
