The Burt Munro Challenge 2023

The video is a short overview of my first "Burt", the 2023 Burt Munroe Challenge. Held in and around Invercargill, New Zealand in early February of each year, the challenge consists of several events held over 5 days: A Hill climb, Drag racing, Beach racing, circuit racing, Speedway and culminating in one of only 3 street races left in New Zealand, the Invercargill street races. While there is a large, well organized rally right amongst the racing, we chose to stay "in town" due to Invercargill's reputation for wild weather! As it turned out it was fine most days and most of us suffered from a touch of sunburn! It should be noted that we arrive on the Thursday and so missed the Hill climb and the drag racing. Between 6 and 8 thousand motorcycles visited Invercargill for the Burt.
It was an incredible 5 days and I will be heading back down next year, back for "The Burt"
