Trump Org Weisselberg surrenders to prosecutors on another charge

Allen Weisselberg, the former chief financial officer of Donald Trump’s company, entered a guilty plea on Monday in New York for perjury connected to the testimony he provided in the ex-president’s civil fraud case.

Weisselberg, aged 76, pleaded guilty to two counts of perjury and is set to receive a five-month jail sentence.

This would mark his second incarceration after spending 100 days behind bars last year in an unrelated tax fraud case.

The perjury charges stem from Weisselberg’s testimony during a July 2020 deposition in New York Attorney General Letitia James’ case against Trump, the Associated Press reported.
