After Super Tuesday, Trump is expected to have all but secured his party’s nomination. Biden plans to leverage Thursday’s State of the Union address as a launchpad to present a vision for a second term to millions of Americans.

Following the speech, he will travel to battleground states like Pennsylvania and Georgia. Both candidates and their campaigns view it as advantageous to expedite the onset of the general election cycle, albeit for different reasons.

Trump and his team are eager to move past lingering questions regarding Nikki Haley’s significant votes in the GOP primary, The Hill is reporting.
