UK terror threat highest since 9/11

The current terror threat in Britain has reached its highest level since 9/11, according to a security insider. The expert emphasizes a “real risk” of coordinated terrorist actions or lone outsider attacks.

Record levels of communication, or “chatter,” among extremists intercepted by intelligence agencies have been reported, reaching levels not seen since the September 11 attacks in the US.

Politicians have been alerted to the use of the Israel-Hamas conflict as a recruitment tool for terrorist groups globally.

Security officials also express concerns about a potential increase in extremist activity during the upcoming month of Ramadan in the Muslim world.

One MP described the level of extremist chatter as unprecedented, drawing parallels to the spike in hate after the 2001 Twin Towers attack, the U.S. Sun reported.
