"The Platform" is a dystopian thriller set in a vertical prison known as "The Pit." Each level of the prison contains two prisoners, and a platform of food descends from the top level to the bottom, stopping for a limited time at each level. As the platform descends, prisoners on higher levels gorge themselves, leaving little or nothing for those below. The film follows Goreng, a new prisoner, as he navigates the brutal hierarchy of The Pit. Alongside his enigmatic cellmate, Trimagasi, Goreng attempts to survive and challenge the system. As they encounter corruption, violence, and desperation, Goreng becomes determined to send a message to the outside world about the injustice of The Pit. "The Platform" is a thought-provoking allegory that explores themes of inequality, greed, and the human condition in a stark and unsettling setting.
