There's a book about his atmospheric engine you can borrow here

This can run on turpentine and ethanol (camphene) The ethanol must be double-distilled and the ratio he used was 8 part ethanol to 1 part of turpentine
You would need to experiment a bit with that ratio too explosive ot merely-burning are the two extremes you want to avoid, you want the "woosh ratio".

You don't need the water coolant and the bellows, that was this guy's attempt to optimize the original design.

If you've been wondering why I added those turpentine and ethanol videos, now you know :) With metal, you could litterally build this in the middle of nowhere and fuel this thing with pines and wheat. That blows my mind.
