Eye Exercises
I adopted a routine of daily eye exercises designed to improve focus, and eye movements, and stimulate the vision center of the brain. These exercises included focusing on distant objects for several minutes, practicing rapid changes in focus, and eye rotation exercises. Consistency was key to seeing improvements.
2. Reducing Screen Time and Taking Breaks
Given the strain that screens can put on our eyes, reducing screen time was a critical aspect of my recovery.
3. Sunlight Exposure
Moderate exposure to natural sunlight can be beneficial for eye health, as it helps the body produce vitamin D. I made it a point to spend time outdoors every day, ensuring that my eyes received indirect sunlight exposure, which is known to help maintain eye health.
4. Stress Management and Sleep
Stress and lack of sleep can adversely affect vision. I incorporated stress-reduction techniques such as meditation and yoga into my routine. Ensuring a full 7-8 hours of sleep each night was also a priority, allowing my eyes to rest and recover.
Monitoring Progress
Throughout this journey, I kept a journal to monitor my progress and any changes in my vision. This not only motivated me but also helped me understand the impact of various activities and changes in my lifestyle on my eyesight.
